DC Equipment’ latest Falcon Winch Assist tethered to new Timberpro TL765C Feller Buncher, recently took part in a live logging demonstration at Demo International 2016, held in Maple Ridge, British Columbia on September 22-24 . Hosted by the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia in their Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, Demo International takes place every four years and this year it attracted 135 exhibitors and over 10,000 attendees.
Over the course of the three day event the Falcon Winch Assist was put through it paces during live felling demonstrations in front of large crowds consisting of North American and international loggers.
“This was a very important event for DC Equipment as it was also the official Canadian launch of our Falcon Forestry Equipment brand with our dealer partner Great West Equipment,” said Hayden Campbell, DC’s Marketing Manager.
The major talking point of this years expo was Winch Assist machines with a total of six machines being demoed. This gave the attendees the opportunity to directly compare the latest Winch Machine technology.
“The feedback about our machine from loggers during the demo was overwhelmingly positive. It attracted a lot of spectators and interest, with the general consensus from people we talked being the Falcon Winch Assist offers loggers an easy to operate, safe and versatile tethered machine option that is really well suited to BC and Pacific North West logging conditions,” added Hayden.
The Falcon Winch Assist operating at Demo 2016 is the second Canadian machine produced by DC Equipment and Canadian engineering partner Wheeler Equipment. Directly after the Demo it was transported to its new owner Westway Logging in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.
